SADACCA Day Care Centre operates Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and provides care in the community for elderly and disabled African and Caribbean people of Sheffield and Districts.
We do this in partnership with Sheffield City Council Social Services. The aim of the service is to support the African/Caribbean elders and their descendants to reduce loneliness and isolation and give support in a culturally appropriate environment.
During the past year we provided services to approximately 126 African/Caribbean elderly and disabled people in the form of day care, health care and social interaction. We also provided exchange visits to a number of other day care centres throughout the country.
